Each Fall leaf lying,
Is a body dropped in the Summer;
Whether from someone packing heat with the safety off,
Or from each Summer night cooled off by the dead’s silence.

I just wait for the leaves to land in peace,
They deserve that much…

I’m just happy the cool breeze allows some rest with the Sun at rise,
And that we have this fresh wind without kids being blown away,
Or that this chilly air doesn’t mean, cold bodies on the ground,
Because there were too many lost souls stolen,
And a lot of dark mournings on these black mornings.
I’m glad there’s a break from it all.

This was a dark Summer,

But this is a gorgeous transition…
